Housing and Transportation
Conference Location: McLean Bible Church, 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA, in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Directions: www.mcleanbible.org. Ample free parking and wireless internet connections will be available at the church.
Accommodations: This year the conference is being held at a church, so participants will need to find their own accommodations. ACMI ‘08 has reserved a block of rooms at two hotels near the church at a special conference rate. Please make your reservation directly with the hotel and mention ACMI to get the conference rate. All cancelations/incidentals etc. will be your responsibility. Please reserve a room early. To help cut expenses, we encourage you to room with another ACMI attendee. Please use the message board on this website if you need to find a roommate.
Comfort Inn Tyson’s Corner, 1587 Spring Hill Rd, Vienna, VA, Tel: 800-828-3297 (discounted conference rate not available online): $92 per night plus tax for a queen size or 2 doubles. Rate includes breakfast. Must reserve by May 1.
Crowne Plaza Tyson’s Corner, 1960 Chain Bridge Rd, McLean, VA., Tel: 800-2crowne or 703-893-2100 or www.cptysonscorner.com. Click on “Book It”; enter your dates and group code, “ACMI”: $89 per night plus tax for a king size or 2 doubles. Must reserve by May 8.
There are many other hotels near McLean Bible Church where you are welcome to stay; however, ACMI ‘08 will provide shuttle service to the church only from the Comfort Inn and Crowne Plaza.
Meals:
Lunches and dinners are included in the registration fee. Those staying at a hotel that does not offer a free breakfast can purchase tickets for $5 each at check-in on May 29th for continental breakfasts at the church on the 30th and 31st. Cash or check only.
Transportation:
ACMI ‘08 will offer free shuttle service between the Comfort Inn and Crowne Plaza and McLean Bible Church on Thursday from 3:00-5:00pm and after the evening plenary and on Friday and Saturday before the morning plenary and after the evening plenary. Both the Crowne Plaza and Comfort Inn offer free parking.
- We encourage those who are bringing cars to help provide rides to and from McLean Bible Church for those without cars. There is plenty of parking at the church.

ACMI ‘08 will offer shuttle service from Dulles International Airport to the Comfort Inn and Crowne Plaza on May 29th from 11am to 6pm and June 1 from 7:00am to 2:00pm. The cost of the shuttle is $10 each way payable when you board (cash only). It will take 30-40 minutes to travel between the airport and the hotels. You must make a reservation for the shuttle by May 15th. You will receive a confirmation email shortly after making your reservation and more information at the beginning of May.
To make a reservation for the shuttle, please email your flight schedule, hotel where you will be staying (Comfort Inn or Crowne Plaza), and contact information including cell phone number (if possible) to acmi08transport@sbcglobal.net by May 15. Be advised that you may have a short wait at the airport since the shuttle will be scheduled based on when most people will be arriving and departing. On June 1, depending on the number of people making reservations, you may be assigned a specific shuttle time to ensure everyone gets to the airport for their flight. We will try to get you to Dulles 1 to 1.5 hours before your flight time.
The Comfort Inn offers limited shuttle service to and from Dulles airport if your flight times are not compatible with the ACMI ‘08 shuttle service. Please contact the hotel directly for more information.
If you choose to fly into National or Baltimore/Washington, you will need to find your own transportation to and from the conference. Please see the airport websites listed above for ground transportation information.
Baltimore/Washington Airport is the farthest away from McLean Bible Church.
National Airport is accessible by the subway (METRO) and both the Comfort Inn and Crowne Plaza offer shuttle services to and from the Dunn Loring Metro Station. For detailed subway information please see www.wmata.com. Please contact the hotels directly for details on their shuttle services.
